OMG!!!!!!! I don't know this Duncan, but I give him 10/10 for committment!! Careful my friend, you need to build up gradually to stunts like this. Last time I saw this kind of incident, it was about 6 years ago at Ta Qali, and we had to call an ambulance.
I agree, Ken, but he has to thank his lucky stars, saints, lucky charms or whatever. He gave us all the fright of our lives. I think he just had a stroke of the NFSB syndrome. New Full Susser Bike. Makes you feel very over confident. btw that was his 4th fall and in his previous fall he was saved by his backpack. Duncan , you have to calm down a bit.
Head saved by helmet and spine by backpack probably needs a new hemet if cracked this video is perfect to see what happens with this type of ramp with two much speed both shocks compress when hitting the ramp then the rear shock comes back fast hitting your but.Best way to handle it is to pull the front towards you before leaving the lip of the ramp to decompress the front shock like this you'll land on both wheels. This video should stay on this site for others to learn and think twice before attempting some new stunts.

I agree 100% this crash was due to load-out of the rear shock and excessive speed. I'm glad that Dunc wasn't hurt cause it looks like he went down on his head. Guys we aren't riding on purpose built trails here so we need to be careful. I tried doing a descent last week and went home looking like I got pulled through the mill. Some of the more expierenced riders might want to do a workshop for those less expierenced? Glad to see that all was ok in the end and watch yourselves guys I don't want to see any of you getting hurt.
Hi guys, the stuntman himself here;) What happened was that as I approached the ramp, I noticed that it was a little bit high. The first thing that came into my mind was to speed up without taking notice about the landing. I’m sorry for the scare guys, it wasn’t planned to end that way;)! Really enjoyed it! Looking forward for the next ride. Please let me know if u r going to meet other than Sundays morning
Moments before the crash I had told Ron that we had better leave cos some one might get hurt, in fact I was already on the way out cos usually I stay on top so as to catch any flying bikers. Ask Mark cos he was the last one I caught doing the rodeo flip. If I find his video I will send it.
Part of this problem is not the Rodeo Flip it's the fact that people don't know how to fall. Well Duncan showed the classic tuck and roll but not the bail aspect. One of the things with this is that it's not as easy as it sounds I have faild at bail attempts several times. Also if I saw correctly he was clipped in... this is a major no no in my books when you are going to try jumps etc. even if you are used to the clipless pedals. One thing is for sure I have had many over the bars experienced because of clipless pedals... also if you look at the seat heights of some of the guys standing after the jump and Duncans too, they are way too high for this sort of stuff. Everybody has a PhD after things happen but I bet you E100 that if his seat was 4' - 6' or so lower he would have landed front wheel first or got some serious butt burn from the rear wheel.
Well you guys go to the skate park cause we are too cool to have one in Gozo I will hit the local school that has a fair amount of stairs and drops I can kill myself on :) Just remember boys to kit up and wear the right gear don't worry about looking like total dorks! better safe than sorry and I don't have to worry cause nobody will see me in the school
